Trackur - Online Reputation Monitoring Tool
We found out about this tool while attending a conference in Charlotte NC held by it's creator, Andy Beal. Trackur is a service that constantly scours the internet and alerts you when it finds anything of interest about you, your business, products, brands, or anything else you configure it for. It scans everything from news and video sites, to blogs and community forums. If there is something out there about you and/or your interests... Trackur will find it!
Yahoo Widgets
Yahoo Widgets are small and specific applications that can be designed to do just about anything! They can run on Windows or MAC and can be configured differently than a typical window. The cool thing is, there are so many! I found one that will show me the phase of the moon, and another that shows me the activity level of the internet on a global scale! There are also things like a project time tracker, and stock tickers. We love these things because they are so small, and are always running in the background.
